| TWYLA Student Directory The TWYLA Foundation is compiling a Student Directory. This will help all our families get to know each other and be able to contact each other outside of school! The directory will be sorted by class and list each child’s name, parent’s name, address and phone numbers and a supplemental list of emails. If you do not want to be included in the directory please let Ms. Lesley know.
Photos at TWYLA At the last TWYLA Foundation meeting, the Foundation elected to post TWYLA pictures on Shutterfly. If you haven’t had a chance to look, this is a great program. You can see all the pictures we take of your child during the day! You have to sign up for a Shutterfly account in order to keep our site private. It is a safe, private avenue to share our wonderful days and events with you! http://twylapics.shutterfly.com/
The Presidential Library We will need some updated presidential pictures this election year!
Ms. Karen is excited and ready to go. Ms. Karen has a BA in Psychology
and a Masters in Elementary Education. She will continue our book
check out program and looks forward to working with your children
in small reading groups during the year.

Holiday Schedule: Thanksgiving Holiday TWYLA is closed Thursday and Friday, November 27 and 28. Watch your email for information on the Annual TWYLA Family Feast! Tuesday, November 25. Plan to join us for lunch with your child.
Christmas Holiday TWYLA is closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, December 24, 25 and 26.
New Years Holiday TWYLA is closed Wednesday and Thursday, December 31 and 1st. TWYLA will be open January 2, 2009.
Reminder: TWYLA will be closed for Teacher In-service Training on Monday, February 16th.
TWYLA Applied Mathematics and Science Institute We welcome to TWYLA Ms. Gena. Ms. Gena has a B.S. Degree in Kinesiology. She will be teaching Mathematics and Applied Sciences in the morning and she will be our Bold’s Gym instructor in the afternoon. She and her 2 year old son joined our TWYLA family this summer. The kids have enjoyed getting to know her and love the energy in her classes! Don’t forget to check out the TWYLA Science Blog and view all the fun things your child is learning with Ms. Gena! The TWYLA Blog is password protected. Check with Ms. Lesley for access! It’s AMAZING!!!

TWYLA Foundation News
TWYLA Foundation 2008 Interfaith Toy Drive
We are collecting new toys and books, unwrapped, for the 2008 Interfaith Toy Drive. We will have a collection box in the lobby. As Christmas gets closer, we will have a tree for you to place the toys under.
The Fire Dept will be here on 12/10 around 9:00 a.m. (barring any emergencies)
to collect the toys.
Chick-fil-A Spirit Nights!
Chick-fil-A School Spirit nights are the 2nd Thursday of every month. The next spirit night is Thursday, April 10. TWYLA Foundation receives a percentage of the dinner sales from our school those nights. This is a link to the Spirit Night Certificate! Thanks for your participation!
